The EU4Health programme was adopted as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to reinforce crisis preparedness in the EU. The EU4Health programme will bring a contribution to the long-term health challenges by building stronger, more resilient and more accessible health systems.
EU4Health will:
- Boost EU’s preparedness for major cross-border health threats
- Strengthen health systems so that they can face epidemics as well as long-term challenges.
- Make medicines and medical devices available and affordable, advocate the prudent and efficient use of antimicrobials as well as promote medical and pharmaceutical innovation and greener manufacturing.
EU Budget
€835 Million for 2021-2027 funding period.
Who can Apply?
Academia and education establishments, research institutes, hospitals; Public health authorities; Member States’ authorities, established networks in the field of public health, enterprises in the field of public health, private entities (profit and non-profit), professional associations, international organisations and civil society organisations (associations, foundations, NGOs and similar entities.
